Dr. Tian then achieved his Doctor of Medicine degree from the highly acclaimed David Geffen School of Medicine at the University of California, Los Angeles. His advanced ophthalmology surgical training was undertaken at the Flaum Eye Institute at the University of Rochester, an institution at the forefront of optical science in the United States. During this pivotal training, Dr. Tian worked closely with Dr. Scott Macrae, a venerated pioneer in the field of refractive surgery. Dr. Tian leads a rich personal life, enjoying outdoor activities with his family, composing and playing music, teaching music, traveling, and undertaking home renovation projects. Professionally, as a Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of Washington, he mentors resident ophthalmologists, shaping their careers and promoting excellence and innovation in the field.

Carlene – Executive Vice President and Dry Eye Spa Specialist
Carlene is involved with most major decisions that affect the company. She is highly experienced having worked in the ophthalmic field for over 25 years and has been senior management at Will Vision and Laser Centers for over 16 years. She has been a member of the American Society of Ophthalmic Administrators for over 15 years. She is also responsible for coordinating the visits of the many surgical teams that travel to Will Vision from around the U.S. and the globe to learn from Dr. Will.
Carlene’s primary responsibilities include directing Will Vision’s various marketing campaigns in print, radio, television, and electronic media. In addition, she is involved in human relations, center staffing, purchasing, and professional relations.
If you visit Will Vision and Laser Centers’ Dry Eye Spa, you likely will not miss meeting with Carlene. Her sparkling and engaging personality even overshadows the eye-catching sparkles in her hair. Without a doubt, her greatest love is interacting with the many happy patients we see at Will Vision and Laser Centers.
Her hobbies include crocheting, tatting, and spoiling her grandchildren.

Jennifer – Surgical and Clinical Specialist
Jennifer loves helping people achieve their goal of clear vision without glasses or contact lenses, and that genuine enthusiasm naturally flows over to her patient care. She has worked at Will Vision and Laser Centers for 20 years and has mastered every aspect of patient care.
Jennifer is our clinic leader. Her tasks include ensuring the smooth operation of our clinic and our lasers. She routinely checks the laser systems and quality of their optics to ensure optimal performance. She also interfaces directly with the laser manufacturer’s engineers for hardware and software updates and routine device maintenance.
As a surgical specialist, she is responsible for assisting Dr. Will with your surgical procedure and maintaining the specialized surgical instruments and supplies required for advanced laser vision correction procedures. In addition, she is highly skilled at performing all clinical testing needed to ensure a superior surgical outcome.
Jennifer’s hobbies include beach combing at the family cabin, catching the latest movies, reading, and spending time with her friends and family.

Kristina – Surgical and Clinical Specialist
Kristina has been a clinical specialist with Will Vision nearly since its inception. She and her family also spent several years in Mexico as missionaries helping the people there discover a better life. Kristina exhibits a passion for helping people see their world through a newfound vision.
At Will Vision, you will see Kristina in the clinical setting while having exams and post-operative care, as well as during your surgical procedure. She helps our patients navigate the path from blurry to clear vision. She is an expert with all of our advanced diagnostic devices, including the iDesign wavefront aberrometry system, the Pentacam HR tomographer, the LipiView tear film analysis system, and the AcuTarget diagnostic toolset used for inserting advanced corneal inlays.
In her role as a surgical assistant, she is compassionate and caring and is dedicated to making your experience comfortable and fun. In her off-work time, Kristina has four beautiful girls whom she loves to take on adventures and make memories with.

Venessa– Patient Education Counselor
Venessa has been with Will Vision since we opened our doors in 1998 and has worn many hats. Originally hired as a receptionist before quickly became the Center Coordinator. She returned to Will Vision after taking time off to spend with her two amazing girls before they went to school.
On surgical days, you will meet Venessa going through the initial preparatory stage, including providing you with a mild sedative and pain reliever, as well as informing you of all of the steps that you will need to take postoperatively to have the best experience and outcome possible.
She spends her spare time volunteering at the kids’ school, watching kids’ activities, and shopping.

Heather – Patient Counselor, Surgical and Clinical Specialist
Heather is team leader for our Patient Counselors and as a result, she is involved in a number of different roles at Will Vision and Laser Centers for the last 7 years. She has a passion for personally interfacing with our patients, new and old, so during critical clinic times you will frequently find Heather talking with patients at our reception desk. Her role is to facilitate arranging times for surgery and office visits that are accommodating for your schedule as well as providing practical guidance for each step of your journey toward clear vision.
Heather is a highly experienced patient counselor. Patients find her positive attitude and cheerful voice a tremendous asset as they begin their personal journey to clear natural vision.
Heather’s goal is to first understand your personal vision goals, find out just how much information you really want about the procedure, and provide the details that will meet those specific needs.
When not at Will Vision, Heather is busy shuttling her two beautiful children to school and sports practice. For relaxation, Heather prefers a day at the beach with her family and friends.

Carol – Receptionist
Carol is the smiling face you will typically meet first when you arrive at Will Vision in Vancouver. Her goal is to make you comfortable as you begin your Will Vision experience and to ensure that your care is both personalized and efficient.
During your visits to Will Vision and Laser Centers, you will no doubt come to enjoy Carol’s inspiring and encouraging personality. Her goals include accommodating your appointments to optimize your visit time with Dr. Will, as well as respecting the demands of your work and personal life.

Anne – Patient Counselor
Anne is a highly experienced patient counselor. Patients find her positive attitude and cheerful voice a tremendous asset as they begin their personal journey to clear natural vision.
Anne’s engaging personality will put you at ease as she helps you understand your personal vision and objectives and craft a plan to successfully accomplish those goals. Every patient is unique in their approach to embracing laser vision correction, and Anne is a master at understanding your specific needs and providing the information you need to chart your path forward. Most importantly, Anne will ensure that all your questions and concerns are addressed, so you are well prepared for your journey to an amazing, clear, natural vision.
In her spare time, Anne enjoys spending time with family, being out in the sunshine, attending music festivals and concerts, and is an avid foodie who enjoys trying new restaurants.
